Pyramids of Gizeh

We wanted to see the pyramids of Gizeh and took the distance in purchasing. Unfortunately, that day was a national holiday in Cairo or Egypt and the traffic was really crazy. Everywhere honking cars and exhaust fumes.

The pyramids were constructed between 2620-2500 v. Chr.

Cheops pyramid: this is the biggest and the most famous pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu. Height: 146 m, still 138 m

Khafre’s Pyramid: middle pyramid, which is a bit smaller.

Menkaure pyramid: small pyramid which 65m and thus less than half that was as the other two.
